Information
Vittoria is a young art apprentice of the master of Bramante. She is pretending to be a man in order to get an art education. She disguises herself with a brown wig, and goes by the name Vittorio. When the Pope orders some frescos from an alcove of art to be moved into the Vatican, he discovers Vittoria's secret and becomes interested in her. The Pope's mistress Giulia Farnese discovers this and befriends Vittoria in fear of losing the Pope's affections. Vittoria then becomes a lover of the Pope, and later along with Giulia shows him the conditions of Rome's streets. She later helps Cesare Borgia in making fake cannons of plaster in order to trick Charles VIII of France and his army, and prevent them from entering Rome.
